Bielema was 19-0 when leading at halftime, after TSUN and tOSU, now 19-2.

Bielema was 16-0 at home, now 16-1.

I'm not sure what streak JoePa can break for Bielema this week. Maybe he can get Bielema to feel the same way about home night games as he feels about road night games.

Wisconsin was undefeated and ranked in the top 10. They lost a heart breaker at Michigan after being up 19-0 at the half. The next week they played very physical and lost "a tough one" to Ohio State. I'm sure they think they should have won both games.

Now it will be intereting to see how Wisconsin responds playing Penn State. It will be another night game with a large TV audience. My guess is that Wisconsin will beat Penn State.

However if you notice how may vDollars I have, you will know that my track record on vBet guesses is not real good.

Wisconsin looks to recover against Penn State

MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin has found itself dropped from the Top 25 rankings following back-to-back losses against Big Ten opponents for the second year in a row.
Coach Bret Bielema wouldn't say Monday during his weekly news conference whether he thought expectations were too high for his team, which rose to No. 5 in the ranking before falling out following the losses.
"Expectations are high on this team, and we like them to be high as long as I'm here," said Bielema, who's posted a 24-7 record since taking over as head coach in 2006. "It's better to have high expectations than low expectations."
This year's fall is reminiscent of last season when Wisconsin rose to a No. 5 ranking on Sept. 30 but dropped out of the polls after back-to-back losses to Illinois and Penn State. The Badgers finished the season ranked 24th.
This year, the team rose to a No. 8 ranking after starting the season 3-0 but hasn't won since.
If the Badgers (3-2, 0-2 Big Ten) hope to recover from its two losses, they will have to do it against No. 6 Penn State.
"We've got a tremendous challenge on our hands and an opportunity to right the ship," Bielema said.
The Nittany Lions come to Camp Randall Stadium for a night game Saturday. The game has lost some luster following Wisconsin's losses the past two weeks to conference rivals No. 12 Ohio State (5-1, 2-0) and Michigan (2-3, 1-1).
The team lost both games by a combined five points.
"We're five points away from being a 5-0 football team," Bielema said.
Bielema said he was "happy and proud" of how the team competed in the 20-17 loss to Ohio State, and it will be as healthy as it's ever been heading into the Penn State game.

Interesting Statistics for fellow Big Ten fans to chew on:

RB John Clay has carried the ball twice or more on nine different drives this season. On all 9, Wisconsin put points on the board. 7 resulted in TD's and 2 in FG's. The drives were spread out amongst all 5 games the Badgers have played this season.

He goes the distance. If you play him.....we will win.

I have to put my money on Wisconsin here. I am still skeptical of State Penn. They haven't beaten anyone with a pulse, yea I know about Oregon State, blah blah blah. This is their chance because they are going to get a physical, angry Wisconsin team in as hostile an environment as you can find. Alot was made about how would TP react to Camp Randall at night, you can ask the same about Royal. He has never faced this situation before either, everyone now knows how good TP is lets see if PSU and their Quarterback are as good as they and their fans think they are. I for one dont think so.

It's an away game, that's what worrying most PSU fans. PSU hasn't done so well on the road in the past. It's the real first test as far as we're concerned. The Wisc team this year is pretty much the same one that PSU pounded last year with Morelli/Scott. If Wisc beat PSU, it would be an upset. But if we beat Wisc, then everyone would be saying that Wisc was reeling from 2 heart-breaking losses. Hopefully PSU escape with no injuries, PSU fans know this isn't a statement game and would take a 1 point win. If this happens, OSU/PSU is going to be the statement game for both teams. If not, the Big10 is going to be looking in from the outside this year unless long-shot NW makes a perfect run.

This PSU team isn't going to fold, but what happened at Mich in '05 can happen here - a last second play decides the game. Tough back to back road games and PSU can probably win only 1 out of the next 2. PSU fans would rather lose to Wisc and win at the Shoe to own the tie-breaker for the Big10 crown.

Clay's a nice looking RB, but he's not the world-beater that you think he is. Maybe his junior or senior season he will be, but not now. You make it sound like he's better than Beanie Wells.

Your user name made you cease to be relevant beyond last season. Therefore, everything you've said beyond that point is meaningless.

I know a guy called Cubsin08, and he'll still be relevant after this year. In fact, for the rest of his life that name will refer to the last time the Cubs won the World Series. :tongue2:

I find myself rooting for the Badgers here, but I'm not sure why.. it would be better for everyone except the Badgers if PSU beat them. Hm.

A Wisconsin win wouldn't help tOSU's slim chances at the BCS Title game, but it would improve tOSU's chances at the unprecedented third straight outright Big Ten crown.

I just have a hard time envisioning us making it to the title game and I really don't like either Wisconsin or PSU but since PSU has never won a Big 10 title in men's basketball they would be better off losing to the Badgers in football as well and, as you say, it would enhance our chances for that third straight Big 10 title. Also, the Wisky fans won't be disappointed two weeks in a row and Bernini will quit making fun of people's usernames when they get a little bit testy towards him:)

Just pray it isn't the same timekeeper from '05. Granted that loss was responsible for the beginning of our 3 straight titles, but it was a hose job at best.

I think PSU is the second best team in the Big 1(1)0, granted I am biased, but hey, it's a Buckeye site, but this sets up as such a bear trap for anyone going into Madison right now. Believe me I wouldn't like our chances if the roles were reversed and we had to follow you in there.

Saying I was skeptical wasn't intended as a bash on PSU, I was a little skeptical of my own Bucks after the USC debacle, until Saturday. They go into that environment and win, it may not be their "statement win", but it will make a statement.
