Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

Georgia deserves credit for squashing them, but that goes under "doing what they're supposed to do, and doing it in impressive fashion"
“spare me the Oregon stuff”? Why? They had the #4 offense in the country.
Because we all know who Bo Nix is. And these are not the ducks of a decade ago.

as for the league he plays in, it's a touch underrated, but a very different beast than the B1G/SEC. Look at Zach Charbonnet before and after going west.

You don't need to spy on our practices to know what we are going to do. Just watch game film. We are what you think we are.

I know...

Set up in a spread pistol formation...

wait until 15 seconds on the play clock to "check with me"...

Have a slow call to audible into which requires multiple shifts...

Hurry a snap with 2 seconds left on the play clock...

WR Screen or what I call the amorphous blob zone running play that gains 3 or less yards every time....

That said, this was more of a post about Jeff Snook and his "sources"....

Day talked specifically about getting away from certain tendencies and predictability, so we’ll see how that shakes out. Hard to think it’s anything other than media junk after watching things play out over the last several games.

You would hope 5 weeks would be enough time to come up with a few wrinkles that should have been a part of every game plan.
For example insert Ballard as a 4th WR. We literally never did that. Instead it was a tired 3 wr set with the same 3 players that couldn’t scheme guys open v decent teams. Basically came down to a perfect pass and contested circus catch.
Or
How about something for a former 5-star WR who is now a TE. He should be a walking mismatch. Certainly a better option in the pass game then a hobbled TE wearing a massive brace on his arm.
Instead Gee Scott’s only non-garbage time snaps were as a 2nd or 3rd TE as an extra blocker.
I’ve been incredibly disappointed in our offensive coaching this year.
Too few players involved in running the same formations/plays.

If we run the same crap from the same formation hoping for “better execution” we’re going to become Georgia’s prison wife.

Any predictions for your WR that was out?

Any behind the scenes chatter from UGA?

Has Kirby benefited from the secret cameras filming the "been predictable for two years" offense?

This is the latest from the Dawgs regarding McConkey and McClendon.
If they can’t go, Kearis Jackson/Dillon Bell are McConkey’s backups and Amarius Mimms will play for McClendon.

Pretty decent film study. There was something that stood out to me from coach Monken, which was the admission that Georgia doesn't quite have the elite talent at their skill positions. So the coaches help to offset that through pre-snap motions and just being the better prepared team with the higher football I.Q. executing their vision consistently.

I find that sort of funny because, I think it was about 10 years ago...? Georgia played a Boise State team built in that same mold and the Dawgs got their ass kicked for it. A Broncos squad that used a lot of different formations, pre-snap eye candy and had players with a great football I.Q. Including Kellen Moore who has gone on to be a coach at the professional ranks. For me, this goes to show that talent is important but that coaching, preparation and play calling still wins as many games as it loses.

I broke a cell phone in the 3rd quarter of that game. :pissed3::pissed3::pissed3:

I want less check with me and a plan that exploits weaknesses in the Defense. Rather than we are going to what we do, our players need to do it better. Georgia has speed on D, trying to run wide or continually using the quick screen will be bottled up. Jones can’t get outside fast enough to help Stover. In the NFL those tackles get out there.
