Peach Bowl: #1 Georgia vs #4 tOSU, Sat 12/31 8 ET on ESPN

Look at Penn State 2019 for example. Day got it in his head that he was going to run and that's all he did in that game, especially the first drive or two. The talent was just good enough to do it.

I tried to tell myself at one point Day was not letting other teams dictate to him but at this point I can't honestly say it's anymore than being a stubborn play caller.

Was that Sean Clifford's 5th year at QB for them?

Posting this here, but it's an evergreen take....

Here’s what I know to be true, because I’ve heard it throughout his entire career:

“Joey Burrow is such a sweet kid!”

Ok, but the Joe you don’t know is a bloodhound with killer instinct who will jump in the war and start swinging.

You need the dog to show up when it’s time to hunt. Everyone knows it. Doesn’t mean he’s made of stone, just means he has stones when called upon.

Buckeye fans, remember 2002, when a Clarett led run game got some yardage, but was essentially stymied. Craig Krenzel, a decent arm, but pretty much feet in concrete, started to run. He took some hits that Superman would have had trouble getting up from, but he bounced to his feet and sprinted to the huddle. Younger memories may contradict me, but seem to recollect that Craig was top ground gainer for the Buckeyes (?). Over a supper freshman, Maurice Clarett, who was essentially playing his last football game in scarlet & gray. Anyway, threw the Miami D off, as nowhere had they schemed to stop him......here's hoping that history repeats itself 20 years later. PS, his runs caused Miami to tighten up, bring a safety up some, and opened up a passing game. Well, CJ is a better runner, Myian is in the same zipcode as Clarett, and tOSU's WRs are leaps and bounds better. Miami put what, 8 defensive players into the NFL from that team? Believe we have a punchers chance. Hopefully our D plays up to the 2002 level. Maybe not so many defense players will be drafted as in yesteryear, but that too is in the same zip code...Go Bucks!

Craig was the leading rusher that game but I'd like to add he was always a good scrambler. I don't think he was a feet in concrete type of kid. He just never had to be leaned on like that.

Oddly enough though I knew Craig would have a big day running the ball. I remember watching Pitt vs Miami that year and Pitts QB ran very well on Miami and almost beat them too (28-21 Miami).

Woody bless you my man. I wish I was capable of this kind of faith. I really do.

It’s a gift I have never discovered.

Krenzel's running won the Cincinnati game that year. Literally. So the "feet in concrete" comment isn't really true.

The thing about Krenzel is dude literally wanted to murder people to win games. I just don't see this Ohio State team having that edge - and they really haven't since 2019.

Changing the tone of this thread for a minute. Happy National Early Signing Day Eve to those who celebrate.

I suspect it’s all hands on deck for both of our staffs in the final hours. Looks like we will be head to head for a young man named Damon Wilson.

Good luck to OSU on ENSD and then all attention can be focused on the Peach Bowl.

Sir we like you in general and all but the next few weeks are war...

Then we can go back to normal win lose or draw
