Damn. R.I.P. Mr. Harvey.

I remember my dad always listening to him, and I really enjoyed his style of story telling.

"And now you know the rest of the story"

Same, my parents always listened to him and I enjoyed it growing up. Sad to hear he's gone. Rest easy Mr. Harvey

Paul Harvey always reminds me of my grandparents' kitchen. Spending summer days at their house, lunch was always in the kitchen and Paul Harvey was always on the radio at that time.

They're all gone, now, but the memories remain. RIP.

I first heard him when I got stationed in Japan in 1976 (Air Force). Our comm maintenance workcenter was only 7-8 people, with 5-6 on day shift. We'd have Far East Network Tokyo on the radio, and between 0700 and 0800 usually was the news and other stuff they started totating one-hour music shows which catered to the then-major generes (rock, pop, soul, country). He'd have a section were he read some news headlines stuck in with some other news sections, but one of the last snippets they'd have at the end of the news hour was his "The Rest of the Story". Our shop would stop what it was doing inless it was an emergency to listen to his piece. The never was a bad one, and some would stay with you for weeks. Truly a radio icon...

The Bethany College men's golf team has caused an uproar because they posed naked for a team photo with golf clubs covering their intimate areas. The entire team has been suspended, which seems a bit over the top for a harmless prank. But let's hear what the team's captain had to say. "It was only intended as a bit of fun with the lads."

Oh, the captain's name? Jack Hiscock. Seriously.

"And now you know... the rest of the story."
