Pat Hayden isn't wasting time making his mark at USC. Kreuter's teams got killed by UCLA and that's not going to cut it at USC. Won't have an effect on the Buckeyes at the D-classic -- USC's not changing players between now and then.

I may be biased, but I don't see it as a lateral move (USC 12 CWS titles, ucla 0). I think Savage will get a long look, but I don't know who is the top candidate. Obviously SC feels it can get a really good coach since it is willing to wait.
