Pac10 vs. Big10 in 2009

USC at tOSU

Purdue at Oregon

Cal at Minnesota

Arizona at Iowa

I hope the Big-10 wins all these games because I hate all 4 Pac10 teams.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of the S-E-C! S-E-C! chant.

Unfortunately, I think at least 3 of those games won't even be competitive.
Really? I would favor tOSU against USC (well, of course), I would favor Oregon over Purdue by a million points, I would favor Cal over Minnesota but not by much, and I would favor Iowa over Arizona.

I'm hoping that Iowa, a slow starter most years, gets off with a win. Purdue is in for a shit storm and has a new coach to break in. Cal, unlike Iowa, gets off to a fast start. I'm just praying the Bucks, with different personnel on the o-line, can keep it close. The Pac -10, minus USC, is pretty average, but so are Purdue, Minnesota and the Buckeye's o-line.

I think Iowa loses a ton of talent that they can't readily replace. Their entire 2008 season was the Mitch King / Shonn Greene show; I don't expect them to even throwing passing looks at an over .500 season. To be honest, Minnesota could be better than I expect. I'm still in the mindset of "lolminnesota" when it comes to football. Maybe they'll be decent this year...but I kind of doubt it.

Purdue is going to get dropped like a bag of flaming shit. tOSU vs USC...well, both teams lost tons of talent. I'd like to think our boys can take them, but I don't know. It's too far away for me to think in meaningful terms about that game.
