Pac10 vs. Big10 in 2009

Wheres the other team? There's only ten. Your confrences name says the Pac 10 doesnt it?? :wink2:

:slappy:

It's weird that the Big10 has a different definition for the number "10." I guess it's kind of like a Bakers Dozen?? I'm sure they have a good reason not to be called the Big 11? How would I explain this to my 5 year old?

I think Iowa loses a ton of talent that they can't readily replace. Their entire 2008 season was the Mitch King / Shonn Greene show; I don't expect them to even throwing passing looks at an over .500 season. To be honest, Minnesota could be better than I expect. I'm still in the mindset of "lolminnesota" when it comes to football. Maybe they'll be decent this year...but I kind of doubt it.

Purdue is going to get dropped like a bag of flaming shit. tOSU vs USC...well, both teams lost tons of talent. I'd like to think our boys can take them, but I don't know. It's too far away for me to think in meaningful terms about that game.

I hope Iowa stomps Uofeh. Uofeh loses some good guys and will be breaking in a new QB. Uofeh always starts slow and loses to teams like New Mexico. Iowa shouldn't have a problem with the Wildrats.

USC at tOSU

Purdue at Oregon

Cal at Minnesota

Arizona at Iowa

I hope the Big-10 wins all these games because I hate all 4 Pac10 teams.

i suspect its going to be a tough year for you :P.

purdue at oregon - oregon should win this one pretty easily. purdon't missed their chance. i don't see this one being close.

cal at minnesota - could be this years purdon't and oregon. i see mighty minny keeping it interesting, but they don't have the talent to beat cal.

arizona at iowa - this one might be interesting. arizona will be decent. iowa... might suck balls... might not be all that horrible. hard to say. id bet on arizona though i wouldn't bet much...

usc at tOSU - both teams are going to be stupid young with loads of talent all over the field. this game could really go any direction.

id say your looking at the big 10 going 1-3. 2-2 is possible but thats asking a lot. 0-4 is a distinct possibility. realistically your looking at pac 10 #1, #2, and #3 going up against big 10 #1. from there its middle of the road at best to marginally better than indiana. these matchups are certainly in the pac 10's favor and its not even close.

I'm excited to see Minny's new stadium. I love that they decided to go outside, on the campus instead of the HHH dome. There is just something about playing Big Ten football outside in late November/December, snow falling, cold weather, you can count on lots of snow in Minnesota then. There is an aura of toughness about it, and I'm glad they got the new stadium. Should be pretty bad ass too.
