So first up we have
Michigan St. at Cal: Both middle of the road in their conferences so I think this is a tough call so early in the season. Sounds like MSU should be pretty strong, but if Nate Longshore and Cal start off this season like they did last season, MSU is going down. Cal did lose some key players to the NFL so I wouldn't be shocked if they lost. I pick Cal due to home field advantage.
Oregon St. at Penn State: I think Penn State will be a decisive victor in this one. Oregon St. always starts the season out slow and finishes strong. Penn State will be too good for them.
tOSU at USC: Two top tier programs going at it early in the season - I love it. Another extremely tough call because these teams are stacked. It's a toss up but I go with USC because of home field advantage since they've lost like 1 home game in their last 40. If the game was being played at tOSU, I would pick tOSU so don't yell at me.
Oregon at Purdue: Oregon should be pretty darn good if they get their QB situation figured out. I don't think Purdue stands a chance in this one.
So I'm guessing the Pac10 takes 3 of 4. It could easily end up Big10 3 of 4, but hey - I'm a Pac10 guy so what else would you expect?
