Ohio State is battling Miami and Oregon for Jett Harrison, mainly Oregon. NIL is said to be a bigger priority for him than it was for Marv Jr., which makes sense given that NIL was in its baby stage back then and Marv Jr. wasn’t as big a prospect as Jett is.
I still think Jett will be a Buckeye as long as the WR play doesn’t regress badly and we come reasonably close to what Oregon will offer him. I believe Marv Sr. just spent a week at Ohio State.
A couple notes on Brysen Wright and Jett Harrison from a USC insider, he says Jett is their #1 target in the class and they’re prepared to spend big to try and land him.
Said USC is not involved with Brysen Wright because he’s hyper focused on 3-4 schools right now. Didn’t name the schools but from reports it’s clearly Ohio State and Miami with Texas and Florida trailing way behind.
Said he doesn’t believe any school will be able to pay the price tag to land both, which makes sense.
Same here. His family is set financially if something were to happen and OSU is still the best WR pathway to the next level with Hankton coming in. And obviously Day is the biggest pull there is, as he's extremely close with the family. I would be shocked if he didn't land in Columbus.I always thought his recruitment was going to come down to where he felt most comfortable more than just NIL. And I thought OSU would've been heavily favored in that vein, due to him getting to grow up around OSU with MHjr going to OSU. He already got to meet most of the coaches when he was in MS, and knows how practice is run, he knows campus life and he knows how he'll be pushed to succeed
