Elite wide receiver play runs in the Harrison family.

First came Marvin Harrison Sr., a Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts. Then came Marvin Harrison Jr., an unanimous All-American wide receiver for Ohio State. Now comes Jett Harrison, the No. 1 overall prospect and a five-star wide receiver in the initial 2028 Rivals300.

Harrison, who is also a five-star recruit and the No. 9 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite, will visit Columbus this weekend, according to Rivals' Steve Wiltfong. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound pass catcher received an Ohio State offer on May 9, 2025. He also has offers from Syracuse (Harrison Sr.'s alma mater), Duke, Tennessee, Boston College, Oregon, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Nebraska.

Is he that good, or is this an Arch Manning kinda deal?
Marvin, not jett, was the one that should have inspired that kind of question with his high school performance, as he was a high 4* who looked very good not great. That worked out ok. That said, Marvin never made you wonder if the opponents on film were extras in a made for tv movie like those in arch's highlights did. Arch looked like he was playing on freshman difficulty from the NCAA video games

Well, Marvin Jr definitely was that good. In fact he was even better than his 24/7 rating: i.e. 4 Star, 160th nationally, 21st best WR, and 7th best in PA. Now according to 24/7 his HS QB (Kyle McCord) was a 5 Star, 28th Nationally, 6th best QB, and 2nd best in PA. You know which of these 2 players became the biggest star. Needless to say. 24/7 and Rivals ratings are not 100% accurate.

Is he that good? I'll say probably and that Ohio State should go "all in" to get him. Besides being a "legacy" recruit; you know he comes from a good family, has had the best coaching, and (if he was raised the same as Marvin Jr.) should be a good team player without any "character issues" too.

MHJ says Jett is better than he was so I'll take his word for it. If he has the work ethic Jr has he'll be special though I think he more resembles his dad than Jr. Not exactly a slight considering HOF and overall dominant player. Dem genes are good

A standout at St. Joseph's Prep in Philadelphia, Harrison received high praise from Baltimore St. Frances head coach Messay Hailemariam following their team's meeting in 2025.

"He is (effing) unbelievable," Hailemariam told On3's Steve Wiltfong in March. "(Alabama five-star safety signee) Jireh Edwards said he played against some of the best and that Jett Harrison is going to be one of the best players to touch a high school football field."

Hailemariam added, "He is completely the real deal. He runs routes really well. He will block. He will do what it takes to be in position. He’ll be a great decoy. Our secondary was like that this past year, and he literally made incredible catches in key situations. We know that ball was going to him, and he still overcame it, and we had a kid going to Auburn, Bama, a kid going to Ohio State (Khmari Bing) and a kid currently committed to Texas A&M.”
