Eh, I'm mostly referring to binge drinking. Would one night a week be okay when on a strict diet the other days of the week?

No clue.

Looking at starting this within the next week or so... for the weight training what do yall recommend, bands, dumbbells, full on weight set?

I bought the bands for money and space saving. Personally, I found the three band handles best. That way, when I bought 30, 40, 50. 60, and 70, I could do a variety of weights all the way up to 180 (which I never did).

I was thinking about trying to find those adjustable weight dumbbells to save space but need to do some homework on them first.

I did as well, because the expediency for changing weight was great. However, I couldn't find them in a price bracket that was acceptable to me. Good luck on your hunt though.

I purcahsed a set of adjustable dumbbells and did not regret it when I did P90x a year ago. I'm starting Insanity next week. Looking forward to it.

Those fuckers are expensive, for what you'd pay for the 100 lbs set you could buy a 5 year membership to 24 Hour Fitness

I bought the Boflex adjustable dumbbells (2x50lbs) back in June and love them. They took my P90X lifting workouts to another level over the summer. I have a free gym membership through work, but it is so much more convenient to roll out of bed and go down to the basement to work out.

I started another 12 week weight loss competition at work in August so I cut back how much I was lifting to focus more on cardio. I still ended up hitting a plateau with the P90X plan that I put together so I switched over to Insanity last week. I have to say I dread waking up in the morning much more now. These workouts are killing me. Last week my calves were sore all week. This week the inside of my thighs are sore so I'll be interested to see where the soreness moves to next week. So far it seems like I'm moving off the plateau, which is what I needed.

My goal is to win this weight loss competition, focus on swimming and stretching from mid-November through December to recover, and then make one final push at the beginning of next year to lose the 30-40 lbs I have left. I'm still working on my plan for next year, but I'm thinking P90X with a focus on the weights for the first 6 weeks and then Insanity for the next 8 to shed weight. If that doesn't get it done I'll have to plan something for May and June so I'll be ready to go to Mexico in late June. Problem is I've always been big so I have no idea what my weight should be.

Wait until you hit the second month. You'll feel like you are starting all over.
