Outback Bowl: Wisconsin 17, Tennessee 21 (final)

Thats a bunch of bullshit. Would a playoff be better, probably; but don't go trying to tell people that all the bowl games that aren't the title game, that their games are scrimmages.
Did you not get excited for the Ohio St. vs. ND scrimmage?

Yeah I did. But I also recognized it for what it was, a scrimmage that had no bearing on anything in the great scheme of things.....

So does the title game not count to those who don't care about Ohio St. and LSU?

I don't know. Ask one of them. However, that game IS FOR the recognized National Title for all intents and purposes. Who cares what other people care or don't care about, that is for the ultimate prize in the game.

Every game counts; i'd hate to see you coaching a college team after 3 losses since you'd only be playing for a pointless game.

But I'm not. I'm a fan who wants something like a playoff that makes more than 1 game matter.

Well, that just sucked.

The QB rollout on 4th down on the drive before this one is was hurt Wisconsin the most. They weren't able to stop the run up the middle. Just do that.
Yeah, I was wondering about that too. You have P.J. Hill, why not power run it on 4th and short? For that matter, why not leave Hill in the game after that long run and try the bootleg on first down? That way Hill can get his rest because all he has to do is carry out a fake, and you cross up the defense. Oh well, it's no big deal. Even though they didn't win, they played well enough to represent the conference well.

Hey Tennecheat fans, you were in the SEC championship game with a chance to beat LSU minus a few Ainge bonehead throws. How is it that you went down to the wire against the Big 10's fourth best team? Hmmmmmmmm..........

I made the mistake of undoing my day long mute to hear Lloyd's last half time interview. I left the sound on too long and heard the ABC halftime intro.

John Saunders says B10 taking it on the chin as they show the highlight of their QB taking an illegal helmet to helmet shot.

B10 #4 vs SEC #2 and the B10 team is throwing into the end zone as time runs down with a chance to win. How do we spin that to the national audience? B10 taking it on the chin. :roll1:

I'm so sick of this shit I could fucking puke.

Maybe one of these days someone will explain to me what Bolemia was doing calling a pass play on the second to last drive in Tennessee territory. One and a half yards for a first down, and he calls a roll out pass. I'm sorry if this play has been bitched about ad nauseum, but this is the first instance I made it onto the 'net this evening.

Barry Alvarez would have had Hill or Brown truckin' some Tennessee ass for the first down.

damn, the SEC is goooood!!

 what a joke

Big 10 #4 v. SEC #2/3 (UGA).. are you kidding me?

I don't know exactly what you were expecting, it was BCS #16 vs BCS #18 and the #16 edged out for the win. Big surprise? If Tennessee was the SEC #2, they would have been in the Capital One Bowl. Yes, Tennessee went to the SEC championship; no, they are not the #2 SEC team. If basing it off of the final BCS standings, they are a #4 and Wisconsin is a #3. Bottom line, they are evenly matched, and Tennessee came out winning. I think the line was 1.5 or something.
