OT Mike Adams (Official Thread)

I kept a close eye on big Mike and he played one heck of a game. RJ Washington really got dominated. You never saw Washington near the ball until number 58 came in at LT. Great showing for Adams and way to prove your the top OL in the country!

I watched that, too. The only time Washington made the sack on Pryor was when #72 was not in there. He did come back in after the punter ran for the first down and they scored a few plays later.Remember one play where Adams pushed Washington way out of the play and the East had a big gain.

Today's performance should show how much an early commitment affects "stars"

Mike, as stated by the BPRT months ago, is as good of an OL as there is anywhere in the nation.

Others ran their mouth this week...Mike shut it up on the field.

Big time.

Apparently Pitt the Past cannot praise Pitt the Future without Pitt the Past trying to tear down a better player than Pitt the Past or Pitt the Future. Sad.

I believe he was being very sarcastic regarding May Day. Maybe May Day could come shed some light on the situation.

Fully agree. Rivals should admit that they underestimated his talents beyond forgiveness, and launch him into 5 star stratosphere, #1 or #2 OT and top 10 overall, imho. 'Nuff said by me! I love this guy!!

Just as a point of reference, Mike is currently ranked #85 nationally and #11 amongst OTs by Rivals. We'll see how that changes...

Rivals predict that Mike will be an All-Pro in 2017 (The only other tackle being Joe Thomas). I hope they also have the sense to move him up the recruiting rankings.

Interesting, but I think that is a joke. How many people would have predicted that Tom Brady would have been one of the all time NFL greats a decade ago? Yeah, I can't think of many either. :wink2:

I fully agree with you on this one but it is always nice to see a OSU commit getting rave reviews. In this case it is even more special since rivals has been steadily underestimating Mike before the AA game.

Despite the rave reviews, he's still sitting on 4 stars.

tsk tsk tsk.

They must think he'll be a late bloomer. It surely appeared that he is already blossoming, at least he was in San Antonio.
We should have a pretty impressive two-deep next year with Big Mike and his mates on the Brew crew. Could be another chance for wholesale 5 at a time subbing to keep the big guys fresh.
