OT Dawand Jones (All B1G, All-American, Cleveland Browns)

Dawand Jones thought that his final game for Ohio State was the loss to Michigan. After hearing Ohio State’s name called for the College Football Playoff, he knew he would get at least one more shot.

At Wednesday’s presser he said that he is glad to have another opportunity to finish his Ohio State career strong.
But his next game won’t be an easy one.

Jones and the Buckeyes will have to take on the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs, who have looked outstanding so far this season. Jones is sure to give it his all in the playoff, as he has spent four years with the Buckeyes and wants to go out on a positive note.

The Buckeyes will also get a chance to take on Michigan again if they can defeat the Bulldogs. Michigan plays TCU on the other side of the Bracket. It would only be fitting for the senior offensive lineman to get one last shot at the Wolverines.

A total of six NFL draft prospects from Ohio State are currently set to participate in pre-draft all-star games. Offensive tackle Dawand Jones and defensive end Zach Harrison have both accepted invitations to the Senior Bowl while cornerback Cameron Brown and defensive tackle Taron Vincent have accepted invitations to the East-West Shrine Bowl. Defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste also accepted an invitation to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl but has since entered the transfer portal, indicating he plans to play another year of college football at another school rather than enter the 2023 NFL draft.

Mock draft shows him going early second round to the Dolphins. I would love that!

Very curious to see where he goes in the Draft. A lot to like with his size and athleticism, but there might be concerns on speedy edge rushers and being mobile enough to kick out to block them since he is so big. No idea, hope he goes high though...having him and PJ go high could help with OL recruiting.
