Ok, Ok, I get it. and I have to admit that the Cooper record v Michigan had me on the brink of trying to ignore that week on the schedule. BUT - 1) the guy totally upgraded recruiting, taking OSU national instead of regional 2) restored recruiting in SW Ohio, where Michigan and ND had been killing the Bucks 3) recruited the 2002 - 03 national champs 4) buried Notre Dame twice (bless him) 5) put butts in seats that paid for the expansion to 107K 6) elevated the talent level on the field.

His failure with Michigan can be charged to many causes, but from my point of view it was largely due to his inability to find QBs equal to those Michigan recruited in the same time frame.

4 legends and the guy who willingly jumped on the grenade in a chaotic situation and kept the program afloat for a year. Good things happened because Fickell stood in and took one for the team.
Amen. A true Buckeye in every sense of the word and just imagine what would have happened if he'd had the tattoo bunch... certainly would have beaten Michigan.

Hit the nail on the head with the QBs. Since Troy Smith, the script has been flipped at that position.
