Orlando Brown Jr. (OL Oklahoma)

crazybuckeye;2175875; said:
Michigan should be especially attractive to 2014 OL prospects after taking 5 in 2012 and 5 more in 2013.
It was 4 last year, not 5 .. but with the horrific depth Hoke acquired, OL depth will be a focus for awhile.

What are the odds this kid really goes north though?

Following his father
2014 OT prospect Orlando Brown Jr. is following in his late father's footsteps
Updated: July 24, 2012
By Chantel Jennings | WolverineNation

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Most high school football players look forward to Friday nights: the lights that slowly buzz on, one by one, illuminating the perfectly cut, grassy field; the freshly painted white lines that outline the ensuing battle; the crush and clang of one helmet against another.

For most high school boys, this is their haven -- but not 2014 offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr.

His time is Monday mornings: when the hot sun lights the field on its own; when the white lines are no longer straight but scuffed and zigzagged, distant memories of games; when the only crush he hears is inside his head as he pushes himself harder and harder.

This is his haven: practice.

Practice, practice, practice, his father always implored.

And father knew best. Former NFL offensive lineman Orlando Brown Sr. spoke to his eldest son from experience, knowing that practice would make you better for Friday nights, which prepared you for Saturday afternoons, which eventually landed you on Sundays. And Sunday was the eventual goal.

To protect some privacy, I'll try to keep this post vague.
If it's in appropriate, Mods, please delete.

A family member of mine works for a school in the same county. This person met Big Orlando casually at a training seminar at Peachtree Ridge. My family member said without hesitation that he is the biggest person they have ever seen in their life. Orlando's hands look to be big enough to palm two grapefruits in each hand.

Buckeyes Want Big ?Zeus? at Left Tackle
By Michael Chung

The son of the late Orlando ?Zeus? Brown Sr. ? who played for the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens ? Orlando ?Zeus? Brown Jr. is a towering 6-9, 360 pounds.

He is desired by many QBs to protect them, but only one school is going to land this monster bookend in the class of 2014.

Hailing from Suwanee, Ga., Brown plays at Peachtree Ridge High School ? the same school that produced both Bradley Roby and Cameron Heyward. Zeus already holds offers from schools like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame and USC.

So basically every school in the country, except for one notable program down in Norman, Okla.

Ohio State would love to add Zeus to their ?Peachtree Ridge Pipeline? following Roby and Heyward. His father was part of the infamous scene in which an official threw a penalty flag that hit Brown?s father in the eye. Brown Sr.?s eyesight was so damaged that he was not able to play for three seasons, but before the injury, he was one of the highest-paid offensive linemen in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns.

Orlando Brown Jr. is a very mature young man, having the poise of an adult ? well spoken and respectful. He prefers to be called Zeus, in honor of his late father who died of diabetic ketoacidosis back in 2011. He recently took sometime to answer a few questions from The-Ozone.

Ozone: When did Ohio State offer you?

Brown Jr. far off from college decision

By Phil Kornblut
Junior OL Orlando Brown Jr. (6-9 340) of Suwanee, GA is gaining scholarship offers as quickly as he's losing weight. Brown is up to 35 offers while his weight is down from a high of 376 pounds. Brown is the son of former SC State and NFL star offensive lineman Orlando Brown and has offers from across the country including Clemson and USC. He's only been to Georgia for a game this season. Last summer he visited Auburn, Ohio State, Alabama and Florida. Right now he has no other visits planned. Brown is interested in all the schools on his offer list, his interest in Clemson and USC is as strong as for any other school. "They are top caliber," Brown said. "They have close to the same thing to offer me athletically and academically." Brown said he did not grow up watching college football and thus has not been a fan of any particular school. He plans to have a top five going into his senior season and commit after his season. He has been picked for the Semper-Fidelis All American Game and has been invited to the Under Armour and Army All American Games combines.
