Orlando +7.5 at Cavs - Game 5

Guys after looking at some #'s Orlando is truly playing out of their minds and we are truly playing like shit...

Mo and DWest are shooitng 22% That is terrible...

Mo is 20% below his 3 pt shooting...Lewis is 20% ahead...

Howard making free throws...

Pietrius, Alston are playing out of their minds...

I am just hoping that if we can win tonight, things tighten up for them and then they return to normal a little bit...

Orlando is a good team...the comment about 4 out of the first 5 picks would be from orlando in a pick up game i don't agree with that...

LBJ
Howard
Hedu
Lewis
Mo

and then I would probably go with West,Z, Alston, Andy Lee

so I don't agree with that statement...

The ridiculous shooting good for Orlando terrible for us and coaching is where we are coming up on the short end of the stick...

We have the best player in the series, and lets hope that he can get some help and not let his team lose this series...

It's as good as over.

The Cavs won't adjust to Orlando's style. The Cavs players including LeBron settle for too damn many jumpers (ala Duke) and then try to force things when the shots don't fall or Orlando gets on a run.

Good stuff.

The problem with the rest of the series, which I believe was brought up by one of the TNT guys (or someone here, perhaps), is that even though Orlando lives and dies by the 3- they will "live" at least once during the next 3 games.

Cavs may be lucky to prolong the inevitable tonight.

GO CAVS!

I'd pick Pietrus before West he has the size and has done a pretty damn good job on LeBron although the stats may not show it. But still noone is arguing about three of the top 4 being from the Magic and that's the problem. The Cavs aren't going to get 20 from West or Z, maybe Mo, but they just need solid contributions of around 6-10 points from: Z, West, Andy, Joe, Wally/Boobie/Sasha (depending on who wins the coinflip; that's how Coach Brown chooses who gets the minutes, right?)

If Cleveland doesn't try something different on the defensive end they will not win 3 in a row against this team.

Having Z and Andy in the game at the same time doesn't work against Orlando. They're too slow to match up defensively and don't have enough offensive game to pressure Lewis and Howard on the defensive end.

Putting LeBron on Alston on defense doesn't work. LeBron needs to be on Turkoglu or Lewis. Yeah, he'll have to spend more energy on defense, but 11 losses in 15 tries shows the matchups aren't working. He could put more pressure on either of those guys than they have seen thus far.

Use Smith and Wallace for some minutes on Howard, if only for the 6 fouls. Better to spend them and send him to the line than doubling him and forcing him to kick out for a three because Orlando has several good three point shooters - they won't all go cold.

If Cleveland keeps trying to play the same way, hoping someone will get hot and help them outscore Orlando, they won't win. They have to improve on the defensive end to win this series.

If Z isn't knocking down jumpers out there he serves no purpose. Even when Howard's out, Gortat seems to bother him as well. I think against Orlando he should be at the back of the bigs rotation, with Andy, Joe and Ben seeing minutes before him.

I hate to say that because he's given so much to the franchise, but he can't get it done right now.

This is where LBJ can grow his legend. Strap these guys on your back, refuse to lose. That's it right there. Of course it would help if Orlando's shooting came back to earth. I'm simply stunned at how well they've been shooting. If steroids could help your jump shot and FT shooting, I'd be screaming for a damn test...

if LeBron comes out guarding Rafer Alston tonight, there will be holes in my walls. People have been saying it all series, but what a friggin' waste. You have a defensive player of the year runner up who is 6'9 270lbs, and we use him on a 6'2 PG? Not there 6'10 inside/outside player? Not the guy just abusing Andy.

I read that stat about Rashard shooting 20% above his season average....is it really luck, or i she just feasting on Anderson being unable to close out on jumpshots? I swear, the entire series has been Andy late to the arc, or Andy biting on an up-fake running out to defend the 3, and Rashard stepping in for uncontested shots.

It's beyond ridiculous. Mike Brown has shown incompetence and stubburness this entire series.....it's unfortunate too, because he's destroying a great year of work.
