Orioles 2012 thread of pain and despair....

17 innings right now with the Red Sox.

If they somehow win this game, they will be 0.5 ahead of Tampa for first.....of course this game today went through the entire bullpen but at least they are beating Boston, right?

Adam Jones with a 3-run bomb off of a position player in the 17th. Can the O's and their choice of position-player pitcher hold the Sox to under 3 runs in the bottom of the 17th?

If it's Chris Davis pitching, maybe. I believe he was a pitcher in the minors at one point or another....

unbelievable, they won series against the Yankees and the Red Sox in the same week. That hasn't happened in a long long time.

 Two on with nobody out, and Davis strikes out Adrian Gonzalez and then gets a double play from McDonald, who gave up the 3-run homer to Jones in the top half of the inning.

Ha.

Chris Davis interviewed following the game:

"I really don't know what happened out there. I kind of blacked out."

:slappy:

Hell he's already better than Kevin Gregg. Once he goes back to not being able to hit anything (which may have already started this game with his 0-8 and 5Ks at the plate), he should be in the bullpen :slappy:

Tampa lost to Atlanta, so the O's losing today isn't a huge deal. It looks like the Skanks are going to lose to the Reds...the Blue Jays are losing to the Mess and it doesn't matter what Boston does because that team is putrid.
