Origin of your screenname (merged)

Oh ... I almost forgot. :tongue2:

When I was a junior in high school I was writing a story and needed a name for my protagonist. I couldn't think of one, so I cracked opened my British Lit book and the first page I saw when the book fell open was of poems by John Dryden.

I started using the name for multiplayer computer games and on BBS'es in the early 90s.

Of course, there are other famous Drydens that kicked ass too, like this guy ...

Just changed mine back because it wasn't interpreted the way I thought. I know, I can't make up my mind. :smash:
Anyway, as explained in another post, a teammate of mine told me I look like Bob (Mr. Inc) from the movie The Incredibles. I thought it was funny, so I went along. It's always fun to laugh at yourself. At any rate, it was an ongoing thing throughout our team that year, but when I started meeting people at BP events (i.e. hoops) I felt strange saying, "I'm Mr. Incredible." I felt like I should change it, because if I met some dude with that name I'd think he was arrogant. Anyway, now that we have this thread people can know the story behind the legend.
