Once-prized running back Lache Seastrunk has transfered to Baylor after having been given his unconditional release from Oregon.

Rated an ESPNU 150 prospect for the Class of 2010, the 5-foot-9, 190-pound Seastrunk from Temple HS (Temple, Texas) redshirted as a true freshman for the Ducks last season. He is seeking immediate eligibility citing the health of his grandmother as the reason for his transfer back near his Texas home.

Seastrunk had fallen behind true freshman De'Athony Thomas and Tra Carson for back-up positions behind LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner at Oregon this fall.

Seastrunk's recruitment has been the subject of an NCAA investigation. Oregon head coach Chip Kelly ordered a $25,000 payment to a Texas recruiting service run by Willie Lyles, who had a close relationship with Seastrunk. The NCAA has been investigating the Kelly-Lyles agreement and whether Lyles directed Seastrunk to the Ducks.

Seastrunk could be granted 'limited immunity' in order to talk freely about his recruitment to Oregon. He might need to do so to avoid any suspension, and it could also help his case in trying to avoid sitting out a year after transferring.

Yes, Lache, god wanted you to be in Oregon and I'm sure god showed you plenty of love to get you there.

In a recent interview with ESPN in Texas, Seastrunk stated, "when I first went there, I felt like God wanted me to be there."

"But God also pulls you out of the storm before it happens,"continued Seastrunk. "So I felt like something was about to go down and God wanted me to get out of there."

I'd be kind of leery about this. For Miami....fine....give a couple that left immunity to catch the 100 others. For this case, HE was the problem. They're basically saying take whatever benefits you want.....once you get caught, transfer out and you'll get immunity to spill the beans.
