Define elite. Is it simply only national championship winners? Because they've had multiple teams finish #2 in the country across multiple coaches

I don’t get the hate. Why not hate the showboats at USC? There’s a program that makes Michigan’s cheating look like a minor violation. Or Stanford, arrogance on steroids. Or Notre Dame who gets by not having to risk a ccg to get in the playoffs.

Me? I like the ducks except when we play them. I like Indiana, Vandy, and Northwestern the same way. Every program, including the Bucks, attracts assholes.

It’s been nearly 2 decades since Cheaty Petey left there and they’ve been a complete afterthought since.

Oregon has been to the national title game twice since then and is spending heavy on the trail/portal while usc boosters are apathetic.

Not hating on Oregon football, they've been pretty amazing the last 20 years but they can't win the big one. I think you need to have at least 3-5 Natties before a program can call itself elite. I remember when I lived in Oregon as a kid for 4 years, both the Ducks and Beavers were the laughing stock of the Pac-10

USC definite had some glory years and has bragging rights for overall accomplishments but other than the Cheatin' Pete years when they were kicking ass and taking names they've been a fair to middlin' program, nothing more or less.
