Oregon at tOSU, Sep 11th, Noon ET on Fox

Then how much do you want to lose? Remember 2014 when we lost to an unranked Va Tech by two touchdowns in the second game?
I didn’t get a chance to watch the game but judging by the stats, I think the offense will round into form eventually. Oregon’s been a top 10 defense since Cristobal got there I believe. I know Flowe and Thibbedoux were out but still. It didn’t surprise me to see the offense struggle a bit.

Entire defensive room should be at defcon 1 though. Even with Justin Herbert Oregon’s offenses have been pedestrian at best yet looks like they basically moved the ball at will. I have way less faith on that side of the ball.

Offense looks like it’s basically going to have to drop 40 a game.

Yes, there were more than a few high balls and over-throws, but CJS has my full support. You can't put a new starter in his second game in the position of having to bail the defense out over and fucking over. Neither Fields nor Haskins would've have won this one in their second games. By all means, we should get the other two (3?) snaps in the next couple of games, but I'd be shocked if there's any kind of QB controversy.
Stroud didn’t turn the ball over, and that’s job #1 for a QB. But Ryan Day did and that’s on him, especially on some of those 4th down calls, particularly on the 4th and 7 call early in the game. I’ll have to review the box score but were they never in FG range or does OSU not have a kicker they trust?

Day was asked during the postgame presser about Coombs’ defense and he correctly answered that, as the head coach, it ultimately falls on him. Shit just got real for him, though, so we’ll see how he responds. But when you make it to the national championship game last year, would you really make a change to the staff? All their goals are still ahead of them so there’s no reason to make any changes yet.

So you’d say it was wrong to overturn the call against OSU last week in the Minnesota game? Was it right to eject Joey Bosa from the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame? Or is it only “textbook” when it goes against your team?

LOL

“On the potential targeting call, Ryan Day says the referees told him Noah Sewell turned his head at the last moment.”

Even the refs know textbook when they see it.
