I realize this is not the *only* reason this game went the way it did, but if the offensive line gets more push they can run more and if the defensive line eats up gaps and gets into the backfield, it looks much different.

Again, not the only reason, but it's a big part of it.

yep “targeting” is basically whatever that particular ref crew on that given day wants it to be. Make a real fucking strict guideline to it that stays enforced or get rid of it

Our Defense did get dominated

For most of the game, I'll agree. But that was not a game that "Oregon dominated Ohio State." When you're "dominated" you don't have a chance to tie it in the final minutes. Whatever, we lost, it sucks, on to Akron, fuck TSUN.

Ohio state had over 600 yards of offense. The issue was inside the 30 on, what, 3 possessions? I'm not defending the defense, but let's not pretend Oregon was hamstringing the offense

We outgained them by over 100 yards and lost by one score. Did we play poorly at times? Yep. But that doesn't mean "dominated" to me, or I'd imagine most people.

I watched a team that, regardless of yardage, got dominated by a better coached team at home. Props to Oregon
