The differences between Ohio State and Oregon have always started with the line play.

Win the trenches, win the game.

I realize this is not the *only* reason this game went the way it did, but if the offensive line gets more push they can run more and if the defensive line eats up gaps and gets into the backfield, it looks much different.

Again, not the only reason, but it's a big part of it.

I will say this: that spearing non-call was the height of bullshit. That was textbook spearing. Hell, it could be argued the guy was defenseless!

yep “targeting” is basically whatever that particular ref crew on that given day wants it to be. Make a real fucking strict guideline to it that stays enforced or get rid of it
