Oregon at tOSU, Sep 11th, Noon ET on Fox

Until ratings drop for FOX, they'll continue to do this. They don't give a damn if it has a negative affect on recruiting, fan experience, ticket sales, etc... It's all about eyeballs on tv screens for them. Just wait until Ryan Day wants a kid from Florida or Georgia to visit for the biggest game of the year and that kid, instead visits, say, Bama/Ole Miss because he can make the 2:30 kick but couldn't make it to Columbus by noon.

I was looking to buy a ticket last night and fly up from Nashville. Unfortunately, my flight would have landed in Columbus at 10:50 am. And that's with a connecting flight. My guess it that I'd miss the majority of the 1st quarter, even if my flight were on time. Getting a car, construction, parking, walking to the stadium...I'm not paying $250+ for a ticket to miss the 1st quarter.

Nothing we can do. FOX knows people are going to tune in.

Look for my 720p encode of the game and it should be available for download (appx. 4 Hours after it ends) on 9-11 around 8PM EDT. Anyone want a file host other than ZippyShare just let me know in my inbox or post a reply to this post and I'll do my best to accommodate your choice of file host. I use Rapidgator, MEGA, and Keeptoshare mainly. Also if TBTN does the game in 60 that will also be posted. I just got the Minn. game in 60 and will have that up here later today.

This might not be the right place for this, and if not, mods, please feel free to relocate

But, this in a nutshell is why FOX is the underdog in this network/conference battle. They're (so far) seemingly content to let ABC/ESPIN have all of the prime ratings timeslots (3:30 and primetime), while keeping their premier matchup in the noon slot every week.

The rest of the week 2 lineup is a smelly pile of dung and FOX would have probably double the ratings if the game was an 8:00 kick. (Just realized that ABC has UW/scUM on at 8:00 - wow that's bad.)

Tired: Big Noon Saturday
Wired: Big Night Saturday

But seriously, it’s all branding by Fox. They want eyes on the pregame show then the game. It’s 5 hours of eyeballs and almost diametrically opposed to ESPN’s premier matchup in prime time.

The losers are the fans (both teams), the OSU recruits, and the Ducks. My buddy in Oregon has to watch this at 9am. Would have been interesting if OSU got to travel to Oregon last year…probably would have been a 7pm EST start?

I will be uploading a 720p.HDTV.x265 version of the game appx. 4 hours after the game ends. It will be at ZippyShare which is a totally free file hosting site that has been around for years. It will require the use of Winrar to join the parts. If anyone wants a single file for download just let me know what file hosting service you would like and I will do my best to make that happen. I have been encoding and sharing OSU FB and BB since 2005 via torrent in the old days at TPB and then KickA__ and for the last 6 years via DDL at various sites. There are 3 example of my encoding quality already posted here in the Minn. thread. The full game, the post game, and a sample all at ZS. Feel free to share this info with other Buckeye fans but PLEASE do not post these links at other sites as it will result in a quick deletion of the links due to DMCA. If the links go down quickly then I will have to start using a link protector service.:oh::io:
