Oregon -7.5 at USC (ov/un 70.5) Sat 7 Fox

Exactly. At least now the ridiculous notion of Chip Kelly actually being able to assemble a good defense can be put to bed. Not sure why he was able to fool so many people for the past 10 weeks.

It was the schedule. No one really should have been fooled though, you're right.

(Assuming Oregon beats Oregon State & Stanford) if USC can get to the PAC 12 CCG (i.e. beat ASU & UCLA) too, it will make an interesting rematch. It is hard to beat a team twice in one year; however, the PAC 12 CCG will likey be in Eugene, OR again.

I think that Oregon could play each of the Pac-12 teams three times in one season and whip the shit out of them each time. The rest of the conference just isn't that good.

Yeah, Oregon is the "cream of the conference"; however, USC played Oregon even point wise in quarters 2, 3, & 4. If USC could have elimiated a couple tournovers (yeah, I know that's part of the game too) it would have been significantly closer than 11 points. If any PAC 12 team has a chance in beating Oregon, I just think it's USC.

Should have been just for Oregon?

That's more like it. I didn't watch but 1 quarter of this game, but even then it was high scoring. Holy hell. So much for the Oregon "actually has a defense" argument this year... Here's to hoping Kansas State wins out, so they can get curb stomped by Alabama.

Oregon-Notre Dame would be a pretty entertaining bowl game, but it will likely end up being Oregon-Nebraska (or whoever else decides they want to win the B1G)

**** you, USC. The one game in my life I have to root for you...all you needed was to play a little defense. Gave up only 8 less points than friggin' Colorado and 7 less than Tennessee Tech. 730 yards of offense given up...seven HUNDRED thirty.

Preseason. Number. One.

Lane Kiffin will be on the hot seat this time next year. The full effects the sanctions will have on their depth haven't been felt yet.

I don't disagree with you on the emboldened. In my IMO, there isn't a defense in the Pac-12 that can consistently stop the Ducks for a full sixty minutes. Thus, regardless of whether the Ducks have a D or not, they're going to come out of that conference unscathed. Just the way I see it.

Synder's teams play with discipline and physicality. That's the first ingredient to beating Alabama, especially up front. Now K-State is by far and away out-classed in the talent department, but then again "so was" tOSU when we took on Miami.

Let's not forget the trip to Corvallis they still have to make!

I like Agnew and Woods in the background. I find Wheaton to be more than serviceable, and I love me some Cooks; however, the question mark is who's leading the O: Vaz or Mannion? And with those two, I don't see one that, aside from a superlative performance, will get the job done against the Ducks. Furthermore, the Beaver D is similar to ours in who it's built to stop (power running O). So, I just don't see an instance where the Beavers are victorious.
