So, was this the Oregon team that were suppose to shake in our boots about?

Suspect interior Dline play -
James dancing in the backfield and not going for the perimeter
Massoli having ball security issues and trouble in the pocket.


I'm becoming less and less intimidated by either of these teams.

I agree.

I just have a hard time making fun of a team that managed to beat both the teams OSU lost to this year. They gave up 2 more points to USC and 10 more to Purdue than OSU's defense did.

As a matter of fact their national defensive rankings aren't that bad at all;
Scoring D 44th
Total D 27th
Pass eff D 18th
run D 40

Not the 85 Bears but they play in an offense oriented conference so on the surface its not as bad as people are making it out to be.

If it is Oregon in the Rose Bowl they should be favored.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I think you're taking in game chatter a bit too seriously. I don't think every comment is intended to be concise analysis of future matchups.

I think some of you are overcompensating a bit("these defenses suck"). My opinion has not changed. Oregon's O is great. Best in the country. Our D is great. Top 5 in the country. Oregon's D is suspect. Our O is suspect. But, Oregon's D struggles against the run while our O is centered around it. I'd pick Ohio State but Oregon is a worthy opponent.

Tressel will have the team ready. If we win, this would be our first bowl win since Notre Dame and Fat Charlie. That feels so long ago...

Well, I'm watchin' this here game, and I'd say they need to play better tonight before we start talkin' about what they'll be in Pasadena.
