Game Thread Orange Bowl: tOSU vs Clemson, Jan 3, 8:30 ET, ESPN

If he doesn't go I hope that the QB competition with JT Barrett is fierce this summer.

Braxton just looks completely puzzled at times and he should be comfortable running the offense at this point.

He's a dynamic runner there is no doubt, but I'll bet my next 3 paychecks he never throws a meaningful NFL pass.

He needs to start running routes. Anquin Bolden has had a pretty darn good career after playing QB in college...

Unlike the big 10 championship game, I'm already pretty much over this. I have one last thing to post and I posted it after the big 10 championship. Pretty eerie if you ask me:

Nick saban went 7-6 his first season. Then was 12-0 heading into the sec championship game against an 11-1 Florida team. They lost by 11 points. Then I think he won 3/4 MNC. Majorly due to unbelievable recruiting. This storyline sounds a little familiar (except hopefully not the sugar bowl after their loss to Florida).

Possibly the most pivotal off-season for the program since Tressel's first year. I'm interested to see what happens.

Fire everybody that teaches tackling and/or pass coverage. This is not Silver Bullet defense.

I've tried to be lenient and understanding of defections and busts but it's going on three years now. This is bad defense and somebody needs to be taken out back and shot if it continues.

All I know is that if Braxton goes pro, he is making the biggest mistake of his life.
He isn't ready to play at that level and perhaps never will be....
The bigger question for Buckeye fans is this: Can Braxton play at a championship level in college? Based on his performances against Michigan State and Clemson, the answer would be a resounding "NO".

Not to question it, but what exactly makes you feel that way? Coaching changes? Player development?
Program is at a bit of a crossroads to me. Recruiting, coaching, and the entire defense need addressed. Urban's commitment and determination will be questioned by some. If he is in it for the long haul and to bring championships, a lot will have to happen before next year.

He has a lot to work on in that regard, that's for sure. Not sure I ever see him throwing at the next level either.

No it was not, but again, there were 2 defensive coordinators. We have limited depth at linebacker, and three first time starters in this game. not sure why people expect a 2002 level defensive performance, because clemson are not exactly a bunch of moops on offense either.

It just didn't feel like the talent has been there on the back end all season..whether that's recruiting..development..a result of the program being in limbo for almost a year with the Tat Gate situation..I don't know. The top guys in the back end of this defense aren't up there with the guys we're used to having and when you lose guys like Christian Bryant you get to the point of having liabilities on the field.
