Game Thread Orange Bowl: tOSU vs Clemson, Jan 3, 8:30 ET, ESPN

Yeah only way I see OSU's defense even slowing down Clemson is if we get a ton of sacks or if Swinney/Morris get stupid and try to run the ball. My plan would be to play ball control and run run run but I see both Hyde and Miller tearing off 10+ yard chunks fairly regularly so ball control may not be possible. Definitely a game where who ever gets the ball last probably wins.
If Boyd holds on to the ball and the officials actually call holding, that is entirely possible. The line was never the issue.

Man that was freaking brutal. I didn't even think about FOX and their idiocy... had it occurred to me, I might NOT have been 12 drinks in to start the game... then have the game last twice as many drinks long as usual.
If Fox has the same business savviness that ESPN owns, they will begin to pump up their product and detract from others. i.e. if their ratings are tied to the Big Ten product, they'll support it when ever they can and knock the other guys product when possible.

The difference as I see it is that ESPN concentrates on the NY/LA market. If you watch their shows on NFL/NBA/MLB you pick up their bias - coast good - midlands bad. The exception is in college football where South and West Coast is good and the midlands are bad.
ESPN broadcasts primarily from studios located in Bristol, Connecticut. The network also operates offices in Miami; New York City; Seattle; Charlotte; and Los Angeles... While ESPN is one of the most successful sports networks, it has been subject to criticism, which includes accusations of biased coverage,[1] conflict of interest, and controversies with individual broadcasters and analysts. (source Wikipedia)

Fox as a brand is strongest in the politically red states. To support Big Ten football must seem foreign to them. Until they catch on to what ESPN is doing to down grade their (Fox) product.
And one of those suitors is Fox, as Fox Sports' vice president for programming, Mike Mulvihill told the Cedar-Rapids Gazette that the network plans to make a push for the conference's broadcast rights.

"I think when the time comes, we will certainly be an active participant in next round of Big Ten rights talks," Mulvihill said. "Clearly we have a majority interest in the Big Ten Network. We have an ongoing relationship with the conference with the Big Ten Championship Game. I think the relationship between our management and Big Ten Conference management is exceptionally strong. I expect that we'll be a very active participant in those discussions.(source, CBS news)"
