Dude, why should we submit ballots? That list on the front page hasn't fuck'in been updated in at least a month, probably longer.

Consider me "retired" from being a pollster. It's a waste of time.

Is Eric Winston getting votes because of pre-season rep? Has anyone actually seen him play worth a shit this year? because I obviously missed those games... unless he's been dealing with a sprained spinal cord, every time I've seen him I thought he was horrible... I'm not sure he starts for Akron U? :tongue2:

So be it Dubs, but actually you're wrong about the poll on the front page. It was not updated last week. That's all. I have my PM's to Clarity (of the HTML code that changes the front page) if you'd like to see the "waste of time" in action. Or. if you'd prefer you can come by my place and I'll show you the database and how we compile the votes and take that info and turn it in to HTML code and such. Plan on spending an hour with me, maybe more if the phone rings or I have to run off to a meeting.

And why wasn't the poll changed last week? We got 8 lousy ballots last week. (Actually, the 8 we got weren't lousy at all (thanks to those 8 (you know who you are)) 8. That and both Kbuck and I were busy at work and didn't ride anyone's ass for failing to submit them.

EDIT: Which reminds me, we still need 4 ballots to even have 25 this week.

I am not one of the 8. I'll admit to being pretty lax with this over the last couple of weeks or so, maybe even longer, but I think the BP poll is a great idea, and fun for both those involved and those who only view and discuss it.

Huge kudos go out to BKB and AKAK for putting in so much time and energy working on this, for no personal gain or reward. No biggie if you don't want to participate, Dubs, but I think that's a pretty shitty response when these guys are spending so much of their time trying to help the site.

Sorry, BKB...

I didn't submit a ballot last week (Week 13?) because I moved and was without Internet at home for about a week. Oh well ... it's not like my ballot is needed or anything since I'm an alternate. :roll2:

Since there was a low turnout last week, I'll retroactively submit my ballot, though I warn you I didn't get to watch any football either since I had no cable.

1. Navy
2. Tennessee
3. Nebraska
4. Michigan
5. Oklahoma
6. ...

:wink2:

Not having to scrape ice off the car windshield in the morning makes owning a home (and two car attached garage) worth every penny.

My wife and I were just talking about that very thing last night. It sure is nice to have a garage.

What side of town do you live on now?

Congratulations on your new home!!

We were in such a rush to just get the moving done we started piling things into the garage right out of the truck instead of carrying things into the house. For about a week there was a sofa set, 5-pc king size bedroom set, and the majority of kitchen appliances in the garage while we parked out on the street. It wasn't that bad the last week of November though since it was hitting the 50s and 60s until late in the evenings. It wasn't a problem for us since we were still painting, refinishing the floors and running a lot of new electric.

We moved over to the NW side, so we're both 20 minutes closer to our jobs. Well, at least my office is only one mile away now; she gets quick access to 33 since she commutes to Columbus.

The home improvement projects are a lot easier with Lowe's only being about a 1/2-mile away.

My fiance's parents are like that. 3 car garage and no room for the 2 cars they actually drive. They have her dad's first car up on blocks until he decides to fix it up or get rid of it. My fiances first car that she hasn't driven in 3 years, but they haven't tried to sell. The other spot is full of stuff from their basement from when it flooded in August.
When we get our house later this month we are damn well going to park the cars in the garage all the time.
