Olympic Hockey Gold Medal

Well when the Olympics don't schedule "tv time outs" into the games there isn't any other choice, unless you'd prefer commercial-free pay per view telecasts.

Soccer doesn't have TV timeouts in any league or event, yet they manage to advertise plenty. They can put something on the screen next to the score. They can use computers to slap a huge Mountain Dew logo on the ice. They have options. Besides, I would think the costs of continuing to piss off the few who happen to still watch NBC networks would outweigh the benefit of whatever revenue they can manage to generate for a foreign hockey game at a time past the network's prime viewership hours.

wow, just switched to the game. sunday's USA/Canada game is gonna be interesting...

If Sunday's game is half as interesting as this one NBC is gonna regret showing it on a 3rd place cable news channel.

depends on which team canada shows up....the high powered offensive juggernaut or the team that played tonight (couldnt finish, made too many passes, tried to be too fancy)

That was fun to watch. Hiller was impressive. It just seemed like a matter of time though. Good game.

hiller was very impressive...stopped 46/48 shots against maybe one of the best teams in the olympics

University of Michigan or Detroit Redwings whats in the water there? Why are all the fans such douchebags :p Damn I hate that state and all their teams!!!! Thanks for Ryan Miller though.
Going for the Gold: Ryan Miller - Yahoo! Sports

I couldn't give a shit less about scUM, but Miller is going to end up a Red Wing before his career is over.

Unless someone completely overpays for him late in his career, I could see him moving to Detroit at the end of his next contract.
