USA got three goals in the first game because Brodeur was stupid as fuck. Take those mistakes away and Canada won 3-2. I know it doesn't work that way, but it's interesting that the final in the rematch was 3-2.

The more talented team won today.

Either way, when you give the other team chances like Brodeur was giving, the other team is going to cash in. Luongo didn't do that (although he was giving up some big rebounds).

Well that sucks. No shame in losing in OT to the Canadian national team in Canada. Great effort by the USA team all tournament. Would have been nice to see Kesler pick up Ohio State's 38th gold medal, so one more silver will have to do.

I found it ironic that Crosby scored on Miller after what you said about Crosby earlier in this thread.

Compare Crosby's performance (two game-winning goals in the tourny) to Ovechkin, a guy you said you'd take any day of the week, and I found it kinda funny. :)

Two game winners and a gold medal

He wasn't playing up to his normal level, but he was playing no better or worse than the rest of Team Canada. There were a few standouts on the team (Nash, Toews, Doughty/Weber were the top 3 IMO), he wasn't a standout. But that doesn't mean he had a bad tourny.
