Ole Miss Rebels (official thread)

from Oxford, and the Ole Miss grads I've met over the years (I could tell you some disturbing stories from some of those guys) traveling the south for Cattle Sales, Oxford is definitely NOT that. at all. in any way.

good lord those guys have a very high opinion of themselves.
and are very very open about it. will voluntarily tell you how perfect they are.
Can confirm. These fuckbags are so full of themselves...I have no idea why except maybe they are confused on which Oxford is in Mississippi.

Also, Bama v Tennessee is heated. Those fuckers do not like each other. Tennessee fans don't give a damn about UK or Vandy like they do Bammer. Auburn fans struck me as a little brother just wanting attention from anyone. Not sure anyone cares about them but you say UGA does.

The Game being the last game is the destination at noon. OU v Texas or Bama v Tennessee would still not move the needle if they went head to head.

I guess what I am trying to say is, "Fuck Ole Miss"

And fuck those cheating cunts up north until they quit the fucking sport. Thank you and good night.

I've never been to Oxford (yet), but I have gone to Starkville.

and I'm not even slightly exaggerating when I say it was like going back in time.
That place is legit still Mayberry (if Mayberry was a trailer park).

it is absolutely small town USA.
and the people there are ridiculously friendly and polite to a fault. Like almost creepy how genuinely nice those guys are.

judging by the people who travel to Baton Rouge from Oxford, and the Ole Miss grads I've met over the years (I could tell you some disturbing stories from some of those guys) traveling the south for Cattle Sales, Oxford is definitely NOT that. at all. in any way.

Don’t forget the “ask me about my black friends” virtue signaling you’ll get from them.

This was pre current culture wars.

They are one of the bottom 2-3 outfits I sampled in my time down there. Very, very punchable group of twats.

Sure, blame the kids for hitting the Portal, but ignore the Coaches who are supposed to be the grown ups who leave the kids high and dry. And this coach is actually even in a position to win an NC and left. How do you expect kids to have any loyalty when these are supposed to be the mentors?

You keep making this point, but I'm guessing the people who don't like the overuse of the portal also don't approve of coaches abandoning their teams in the middle of a season either

Sources: Ole Miss, QB Trinidad Chambliss reach deal for '26

Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has agreed to a new deal that would have him return to the Rebels in 2026, if the NCAA approves his pending waiver for a sixth season of eligibility, sources told ESPN on Monday.
.
.
It's still unclear whether Chambliss will be eligible to play for the Rebels in 2026. Ole Miss filed a waiver petition for him to receive a sixth year of eligibility Nov. 16, and a decision will ultimately be made by the NCAA Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement. There were indications last month that the NCAA needed more information for the waiver to be granted. There's no definitive timeline on when a decision will be made.

Ole Miss QB Chambliss faces complex process to get 6th year

The waiver itself -- like many NCAA eligibility issues -- is complex. But the gist is that Chambliss is asking for a medical redshirt for the 2022 season when he was at Ferris State. (He took a traditional redshirt season during his true freshman year there in 2021.)

Chambliss did not play any games in 2022. He is seeking the medical redshirt for that season as he dealt with persistent respiratory issues that ultimately led to surgery to remove his tonsils.

The initial feedback from the NCAA's case manager, delivered to Ole Miss on Dec. 8, indicated that the panel was not inclined to issue the waiver. It invited the school to submit additional information, as the committee wanted more contemporaneous medical documentation from 2022.
