Size, athleticism and what look like long arms make him look like a solid OT in the future.

Need a huge amount of depth, especially at OT. When you can fill that depth with an athletic 6’8” guy from Ohio, you take that gamble. We already have a higher rated OT, why not take another in state guy who could eventually be just as good?
There is a poster on Bucknuts close to the Norwalk program that has some interesting info. They say that Leroux has been given a set of goals he needs to achieve. Weight loss and conditioning need to be at a satisfactory level or Day will have him Greyshirt. He has to prove he wants to be a Buckeye. He came to camp over weight and his family was unhappy. The coaches were upfront with him and set the standard. If he does not reach these goals he will not enroll early and have to pay his first semester on his own dime as a Greyshirt. Take it for what it's worth.
I think that this is true for every recruit, to some extent. A verbal commitment doesn't mean that the process is over, for either side. The staff will definitely continue to monitor each recruit's on-field performance, academics, and conduct to make sure that he maintains a certain standard in all areas. That being said, Leroux might be under additional scrutiny because he is viewed as more of a "project" than most Ohio State recruits. They say that Leroux has been given a set of goals he needs to achieve.... Family was unhappy at Coach Day for setting those conditions or unhappy at Trey for showing up overweight?
