OL Michael Jordan (Official Thread)

Huh...athleticism never seemed to be a question to me....certainly needed to add strength his freshman year. I was surprised he wasn’t starting at RT beginning this year..of course Prince ended up being the most improved player on the roster.

2018 Oline

Going to be interesting. I think in a good way. Years past with this attrition I’d be nervous. For some reason, I think that they will be just fine.

Everything from size to athleticism...and obvious ability from moment one-I’d still be surprised if he isn’t starting at LT next season. And I know that’s not in the word-work thus far.

It just seems like every bad play I can find on the guy is a guard-type-forward-low-butt-closed-area-type play. Obviously his freshman year he wasn’t even in the ballpark strength wise, but his weakness still seamed to be this year two.

Whatever the case he’s misplaced as a LG.

I dont think so. We need as little shuffling as possible. Keep Prince, Knox and Jordan at the same positions.
I agree. Between Jordan, Prince, and Bowen, Jordan is the least athletic. He seems like he should stay at Guard. Not necessarily a bad thing. I could see him playing RT, but I think Bowen and Prince will be our bookends. Knox and Jordan at Guards. I could see the Center position wide open between Taylor, Wyatt Davis, and Josh Myers. I personally think Davis could be a fantastic Center.

Sorry...I know this is MJ’s thread. My bad

I still think Wyatt Davis ends up starting at center or guard. He's so physical at point of attack. He was built for this sport. He's going to be special. I think he's impossible to keep off of the field next year.
Davis and Myers will make a significant impact but I think it's more likely to happen in 2019. Though if one of them is going to start this year it will most likely be at Center.

I am thinking the same thing. Left to right my guess would be Prince, Jordan, W. Davis/Taylor, Knox, Bowen (Bowen and Prince could be swapped). I think Jordan can play tackle for sure but Prince and Bowen are naturals imo, so just get the best 5 out there. Jordan is probably the best OL we have imo, so wherever he can contribute the most, put him there.

Burrell has already practiced quite a bit at center, unlike Davis or Myers. It's going to be Taylor or Burrell starting at center in 2018 and my guess is Taylor.
Good call on Burrell...I forgot that he was getting practice reps at Center. I still think Wyatt Davis is probably going to be one of our best five, which is why I was hoping he got a shot at Center.
