"Ohio State, Coach (Urban) Meyer, Coach (Kevin) Wilson and Coach (Greg Studrawa), they're all great coaches and have a track record of being great coaches. They're a powerhouse like Alabama with great facilities and all the guys are really cool. It's just an all-around great place."

Wray expanded on his visit to Ohio State that stretched from Friday till Sunday afternoon.

"I came at like 10:30 on Friday and did the hole tour thing and spent some time with (OL Coach) Stud. We talked to Coach Meyer a little bit and then had dinner with some of the guys at a pizza place. Saturday morning we watched practice, met with Coach Meyer again and I hung out with some of the players Saturday night. Then this morning we met with Coach Meyer and left."

Among the players Wray spent some time with were Michael Jordan, Jamarco Jones and Gavin Cupp as well as some of the early enrollees in the 2017 class like Tate Martell and Baron Browning.

In all seriousness, I liked the offer and even more after watching film. Dollars to donuts this is an OFFER. Hope he gets in the boat sooner rather than later.

Gotta like that, Simmons is pretty in tune with the southern recruits and is usually pretty good with his predictions. And Wray is most definitely an OFFER...he would be a huge addition if we can get him, though it would seem we are in for a battle. As a side note, I can't remember the last time we landed a prospect from TN despite how often we seem to end up close?

Technically, Vonn Bell...He lived in Chattanooga but went to school in Georgia.

Vonn Bell? That's stretching it a little bit but he was born in TN and played his first two high school years there if that counts.

Good thing he played in Georgia, or else he might have went to Bama 8D But good call. Either way, seems like we are always right on the cusp of getting a TN recruit but never do. I looked back through 2002 on Rivals and did not see any. Here is to Max being the first in recent history.

I live in Nashville and the amount of talent coming out of this area has really taken off. The good thing about Nashville is over half the people here are not from Nashville or Tennessee. So you see a ton of tee shirts, flags, license plates, stickers, etc.. of a lot of schools across the country. So tapping into this area is a really good idea.
