OL Matthew Burrell (transfer to Sam Houston St. Bearkats)

Or maybe these recruits base their decision on more than the result of one game.
Exactly, like a depth chart and or being unintimidated by the guys that would be in front of Him. If I were a truely elite OL talent I would see opportunity to make a early impact. May statement was about OL play, not the final score on the scoreboard. Even if we had found a way to win, the OL play needs improvement, maybe Matthew could see himself as apart of that improvement. That's was my sentiment.

Yep, Florida State served visiting recruits crab legs at Clemson game

Offensive lineman Matthew Burrell (Woodbridge, Va./CD Hylton), on an official visit at Florida State, helped himself to the spread of food at halftime of the Seminoles' game against Clemson, which featured crab legs ...

“One of the best parts of the visit was the food with the crab legs,” Burrell said.

I wonder what effect Jameis continuing troubles will have on Burrell's parents view of FSU? Could become a factor if Matt doesn't commit right away.
But, that's probably just wishful thinking at this point.

I don't think Jameis' issues would effect any recruit, especialky an Olineman. If that were the case their class wouldn't be so strong as it is. The same with TAMU and Manziel, all of his antics didn't matter to recruits. Winning and seeing the field early and getting to the NfL matters to kids. The stuff with Jameis only matters to fans

Mind of Mike
Keep an eye out for Tennessee with Virginia offensive lineman Matthew Burrell Jr. as well. I think Florida State has a slight edge over Ohio State, but an official visit to Tennessee could shake up a lot of things and it could be in the works. Penn State is also in the mix, as is Alabama to a lesser extent, but keep an eye out on his next few official visits to see if things change up.

The Hurry-Up
BURRELL REMAINS PRIORITY ONE
With the bad news this weekend Tommy Kraemer chose Notre Dame, the negativity surrounding Ohio State's offensive line recruiting certainly isn't going to stop. While losing the top in-state talent for 2016 is a blow, it's not the end of the line for Ohio State because guess what? The 2015 class isn't close to over with and there's one lineman that remains at the top of the "must get" wish-list: Matt Burrell.

The C.D. Hylton (Woodbridge, Virginia) star made his third official visit this past weekend, to Tennessee, as he continues to thoroughly explore each of his options. The Buckeyes, who've long been considered a front-runner for Burrell, see him as a vital piece of the puzzle in 2015 according to a source close to his recruitment.

"People keep worrying about the 2016 kid but the guy that matters right now on the offensive line is Burrell," our source shared. "He's a great player, but more than that is who he is off the field. The kid is a leader, people love him and he's a kid other people will follow."

The Buckeyes have offensive line commitments from Grant Schmidt and Kevin Feder, but would like to land at least one more in the 2015 class.
