Burrell's future home, coaches on notice
Back in the offseason, Burrell was a virtual lock to Florida State, but after a couple of official visits elsewhere, the tide seems to be turning. On Tuesday night, the Rivals250 offensive lineman from Woodbridge (Va.) C. D. Hylton announced a top three of Ohio State, Tennessee and Penn State. Burrell has taken official visits to all three of these schools already and the picture is becoming clearer. A decision could be coming "shortly," Burrell said.
Why Ohio State? A few reasons. A strong relationship with the head coach is very important to Burrell and, I'm told, Urban Meyer has been in contact with him more than Butch Jones and James Franklin combined. I've also been told that's one of the reasons Florida State has faded. Burrell has had very little contact with Jimbo Fisher since his unofficial visit to Tallahassee in the offseason.
Burrell's final decision is one his entire family will be making together. That means that each school will have to recruit Burrell, his mother, his father and siblings. So far, Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson has done the best job in that department. I wouldn't totally count out Franklin or Jones because they are fantastic recruiters, but it will be an uphill climb.

Burrell would be a huge domino to fall if it is to happen soon...really would like to see Burrell and Gibson commit sooner rather than later and work on Harris along with Cornell and Hilliard.

I would agree with most cases, but I've seen reports even before the visit that he will have visited the last school on his final list and a decision would be coming soon since he's tired of the process. So the fact that it's so soon after being in favor of PSU? Maybe, but I wouldn't count out OSU because of it.

I'm definitely not counting them out. Especially with the way Larry Johnson Sr & Zach Smith recruit that area. PSU just happens to have the momentum coming off a great atmosphere. Similar to Mike Gesicki last year where going into that visit he was thought to be headed to OSU.
