Don’t get me wrong, I’m pissed. I’m very pissed and very upset. There’s a lot that I could say that I don’t agree with. Everyone knows it’s always a number crunch for Ohio State.
I honestly have no problem with this quote. It's truthful. Osu and elite football factories like osu aren't there to coddle. If youre good enough to play, you will, if not, you sit and watch and possibly transfer. Burrell was said by Meyer to have enjoyed being on the team more than actually playing when he first got to Columbus. And Meyer has also stated that if you haven't played meaningful minutes in 3yrs, than OSU may not be the place for you (paraphrasing). Burrell was recruited over multiple times and still didn't beat out underclassmen or guys in his own class. Sorry to see him leave. But OSU isn't right for every player. Some kids are just better off being the Big fish in a small pondhttps://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2018/05/92931/mask-off-why-matthew-burrell-left
Found this interesting. A lot of what he has to say is still positive about the program but then:
I saw no bashing at all; just honest emotion. Nothing wrong with that, and his other comments were quite complimentary of the Buckeye program. Not trying to rip into the kid but what’s he “very pissed” about exactly? Is it not working hard enough or doing his absolute best and not being good enough? Most generally someone who is “very pissed” just wasn’t willing to work. I believe Billy Price said something to the effect that Matt really enjoyed the college scene.
Regarding the numbers crunch.....let’s get a few quotes from the walk-on’s who earn schollies every year and get their take.
Sorry it didn’t work out for ya Matty. But don’t bash on your way out. It’s not a good look.
Very pissed and numbers crunch certainly sound like someone who seems upset that he was recruited over. Not a big deal. He does speak well of the school and brotherhood though.I saw no bashing at all; just honest emotion. Nothing wrong with that, and his other comments were quite complimentary of the Buckeye program.

Hey,
Having some PMs with Burrell down in TX. His puppy is in a pretty bad way. With him being a college kid strapped for cash and I'd like to see if there's a way I / we can help him cover some of the vet costs. As a lot of you know... I'm a dog person and this one hits close to home as I also almost lost a pup when I was really young...
He knows that I'm posting here for thoughts and suggestions of how I / others can help financially without putting him or Sam Houston St. in a bad place.
Thought that I'd bring it here for ideas and thoughts. Any welcome.
