I expect coaches to see it differently. Their role is discipline. Ours is to have their backs.
Same kind of thing as Spencer talking to the media.
The punches were right out, but i still support both these players 100%
Flipping birds is several steps below tearing down their banner. It's something you discipline, then have a good chuckle about.

I'm sure Corch Meyer will give us the benefit of his opinions on Marcus Hall's actions at the appropriate time. Just as I'm sure Clay Travis will then urinate all over the explanation and expound on why Marcus Hall should be banned from competitive football for the remainder of his natural life, and why Urban Meyer is the devil's spawn because his punishment was not sufficient.

Im just giving you crap because I hate when people speak like they have coaches on speed dial and say "I guarantee." Its like all the other BS crap being posted about what people "guarantee" they know the answer as to what is going on with the defense. And if Hall gets no further suspension (like Meyer says), then you are right, the fingers didn't matter.

I don't know how Hall or Meyer feel about it behind closed doors, no one does.

To me the fight was stupid, but a few fingers doesn't hurt my feelings. Then again, Im not exactly a PC person that works in a PC job. lol

UFM pulled kids out of any future press conferences for JOKING about running with FSU or Alabama. What do YOU think his answer to this scenario would be?

My guess would be regret. I'm 100% certain of it.

To me the fight was stupid, but a few fingers doesn't hurt my feelings. Then again, Im not exactly a PC person that works in a PC job. lol

Yes the fight was stupid. The double birds were a sign of immaturity. Be the bigger man.

In the press? He said he was disappointed. Behind closed doors, my guess would be that he can understand Hall's actions and given the deep roots of the rivalry I don't think he had much heartburn over it (middle fingers).

Bottom line, hes a college kid in a passionate moment, in likely the biggest game of his life (so far). He did what he did.

(Again, Im not a guy that crunches paperwork in an office job, so a finger or profane language doesn't phase me)

You actually think he would condone a senior starter in going onto the field during a kickoff, throwing punches and getting ejected? Seriously?? :smash:

It's not even about flipping the bird really, that was just the icing on the cake in the scenario - not to mention a visible reminder that was instantly captured for social media to run with.
