OL Marcelys Jones (transfer to Kentucky; transfer to Alcorn State)

So some of you guys are actually entertaining this possibility just because a few UK writers and nobody else is predicting Jones to UK?

Just a question(and not trying to be sarcastic), but how is marcelys now a 67% commit to UK now on 247 if only UK writers are predicting him there? Wouldn't a few more writers now be seeing him going to UK now on a national scale?

I'm only worried about Jones leaving if that persuades marshon and erick elsewhere. Jones isn't needed in this class as much as the DBs.

Did you look at how many predictions there were? Only six. Four UK writers predicting UK and two Ohio State writers coming in since then and predicting OSU.

Yeah....that I'm an idiot! I thought he got the Army job and just caught up with the news that he didn't.

We have the best OL coach in the nation (frankly, we were due for that after the Bollman years) and a very attractive depth chart. This is the best time to be at Ohio State if you are an OL recruit if you ask me.

This would actually be the year to join. The draw to UK is early PT. Typically OSU wouldnt, but this year the freshman have a shot at the 2 deep if they put in the effort. Plus i cant imagine that the o-line coach, or the strength and conditioning or the nutrition and facilities at UK are anywhere near at OSU. Remember, it is a basketball school. Might as well go play at duke or kansas. My guess is it is a numbers thing. What kills me is why is Kentucky a number 2? For gods sake, look at a big ten school.

Yea, because there have been so many o linemen drafted from osu. Bc and Arizona st have had more than osu in the first 3 rds. So your point is laughable if you don't think he could get drafted just as high at UK. His visibility will not diminish, if he's talented he'll get found by the league. And there are also pro days and the nfl combine as well.
If hes a top ten talent he'll be found anywhere..but tOSU even gets ordinary players a look later in the draf..some work out and some dont..but playing at tOSU got them a look.

Playing D1 college football and starting gets you looks. Regardless of school. And its safe to say he has more of a chance starting at uk early over osu. Make no mistake, I want him in this class, but he doesn't make or break the 2014 class

Playing at UK or OSU will make 0 difference come draft time as talent is talent and NFL scouts find you anywhere. I do not believe anyone from OSU gets 'more of a look' than a kid from UK. If you think about it, if anything, the UK OL will get more looks as they'll be watchin SEC DL up against him on film and the good OL stick out quite easily.

What will make a difference is player development - a lot of things go into that such as motivation, work ethic, etc. but I'd feel a lot better about my future in the hands of Warinner than John Schlarman.
