OL Justin Boren (Official Thread)

I hate to hear this garbage talk but it is to be expected. The kid's dad played for the Dog Eaters and he's been a fan all his life. I would not shocked one bit. From what I hear Lee Tilley is getting some love now and I would suspect an offer soon. It makes sense that the bucks feel like they are close to striking out and need to pickup another big-time talent in-state. I feel good about us getting Tilley and Brown. I want to think that Conner Smith would follow suit and want to play for the bucks and honor the family tradition. If we end up with the original big 3 then let's party. If not, I think the bucks are still going to fill out this class better the Dog Eaters. We will all be happy and we will still be partying.

Question.
How many times has he visited OSU? Then, how many times has he visited Mich.? Alot to ponder. Considering the latest updates, and the source, who would take this as the absolute gospel truth. Only time will tell, and I know the coaches at OSU are doing what they can to promote OSU, and land Boren. I believe we are fighting the good fight.

Even if Boren were to verbal to us now, don't you think that the Michigan staff, not to mention his own family, would keep up the pressure to reneg and go to Michigan, right on up to NLOID if needed?

Bgriff...or we could stop posting altogether..if that would make you happier....

guys..get a grip...this is a 17 year old kid that we are talking about--and yes, kids, do change their minds

there are some things that would not be productive for me to post at this time that would "explain" the "Boren will be a Buckeye" posts...(as opposed to Boren MAY be a Buckeye)---

patience people.....

Hmmm, so are you saying you still believe he will be a buckeye?
I just cant quite tell what you mean.
I do completely understand kids change their mind, I just cant decifer what you said. :!

There is Still Hope

Well Folonator, you could not be more right about this -- Boren cannot "please" everyone in his family, community or in either state _all the time_.

Should he follow his father in joining the Dark Side, then sad will I be.

However, if he joins our Buckeyes, we shall all welcome him and wish him well.

Oh - and NN and HH (or LJB) -- I'd rather have your collective informed speculation concerning likely future Buckeyes than the comparative vacuum that existed in say the early 1980's.

Here is my take.

Boren is saying to the Press that he is looking heavily at TSUN, this saves face for his family in the Meatchicken community.

He is saying to the insiders that OSU is the way he is looking.

This way he is keeping his Dad and his friends happy, and he is going OSU's way.

If the kid is smart, and I have every reason to believe he is, this is the smart play.

Meatchicken fans will be appreciative of the effort, and while not happy, understand because they are already so deep at O line.

Or...it could go exactly the opposite way.
