OL Justin Boren (Official Thread)

In fairness to HTM, we'd be livid if one of our OL left us and went to AA to play for TSUN, but it isn't that simple.

This kid wanted to play for Ohio State. He grew up in Columbus. His dad played for TSUN and Bo himself came down and made the offer.

Boren didn't reject Michigan, he rejected RR. Big difference. Justin appears to have not liked the :pirate1: aggressive foul-mouthed approach of RR and his coaching staff. That conflicts with his notion of family values. Grad21 isn't exactly a prude and he said that he found RR way over the top, or down in the gutter, take your pick.

His kid brother wants to play college ball and has an OSU offer. He grew up here and the Buckeyes were his favorite team. Why buy into a rivalry when your heart is really with your home team? It's not like Kirk Barton went to TSUN. Boren grew up here, his family is here, and he made it clear it was a mismatch.

So, if TSUN fans are pissed, it's not hard to understand. Rejection is never pleasant. But I think it really is time to move on.

TSUN fans would do well to remember, as much as they want to make this an issue, Boren didn't reject TSUN, he rejected RR. One day, they all will.

I guess this was the point that I was trying to make, except if the situations were exactly reversed I'm not sure I would be pissed at Boren, but more likely the coaching staff and the University.

My question is when are the rest of the scUM fans going to wake up and realize, like the Borens', that the university F'd up when they hired this ass who it is now apparent is not just a dick, but also likely a liar. Suppose Justin and his family suspected that they may be being lied to as well?

WyoBuck - good post. What Jusitn Boren said was supported openly by Pat White, who said he does not miss the swearing and yelling practices led by dickrod and his staff.

Along with the obvious deceit and lies disckrod is known for, there is no reason in the world for a young man with values and purpose to put up with that crap, so I say good for Jusitn to have the courage of his convictions and values.

That he chose OSU is no surpise, not only being a native Ohioan, but because JT and staff have shown that you can get outstanding results by treating recruits, players, the school and the community with respect and dignity.

I can't wait to see the same pained and suffering face on dickrod and all scumnation after future scum games, that we saw after the Pitt/WVU game!!!

That makes a lot of sense and it's a good point. I just think, once you put on the uniform, and especially, play in a game on one side of the rivalry, it should have some effect on how you feel about the other team.

Unless you put on the uniform and played in the Game, do us all a favor and shut the fuck up. We get it. After your tenth or eleventh post we finally got it. You're pissed. However, Boren did wear the uniform and gave you what he had for two seasons. There's been no allegation that he was a slacker and his record demonstrates what he put in as a Wolverine. You owe him respect for that. Instead of whining, just shut up and move on. Just play the game. Oh, that's right, you haven't actually played. In that case, just shut up. Whine about it on Go Blue.

I'm really surprised about Lloyd's supposed statements and assistance to Boren in this manner. Not that I didn't think Lloyd would help out a kid, but instead, that he would help the kid in this direction. At least, the helm of UM football HAD a gleaming spot on it.

I'm not surprised what is a rivalry it involves alot of hate but it also involves mutual respect. OSU vs scUM is the greatest rivalry in sports. We should have alot of mutual respect.

Of course we've been spankin Lloyd's ass so much, he probably doesn't want to piss off Tressel now that he doesn't have a football team to back him up.
