OL Jacoby Boren (2x Academic All-B1G, Academic All-American)

Not a peep about Jacoby yet this season...

Unfortunately, the second team offense hasn't seen the field since the Miami opener...hopefully that will change this weekend.

Baldwin and Decker are 6-6 in game participation because they're on the FG unit, but Farris, Underwood and Boren are stuck at 1 GP since they're strictly backup OL at the moment.

That's not to say anything negative about Jacoby as the special teams units are always going to have the short/long snap specialist over the ball.

Of course I would love to see him get some experience but it also made me notice how fortunate we have been to keep our starting OL healthy so far this season.

And on the plus side, perhaps he can get a redshirt? Everything is there for Jacoby except he could stand to put some extra pounds on (listed at 287 right now...he could play at that size but it would be nice to see him put on 5-15 pounds of good weight on). If not, I would love to see him get some time and prepare for next season. If we are to make a title run next year and have someone go down, it would be nice to have guys like Jacoby prepared with battle experience.
