From his 247 profile, 3 of his top 5 signees are on the OL. And if we're comparing him to Frye when he initially was hired, Bowen blows him away as far as OL signees

He was the Offensive Recruiting Coordinator at PSU. Apparently, recruiting is a strength.

Recruiting alone, he is miles ahead of Frye, and that was the main complaint about Frye. Not trying to knock Justin as he brought in an NC with a MASH unit at OL, but Bowen can bring in talent and that is another elite recruiter on the offense to join Hartline, Locklyn and Bailey along with Day

To add, there's a lot of whispers that Hartline and Bowen could be Co- OCs with Hartline the Passing game coordinator and Bowen as the Run game coordinator, not sure which would call plays. And then promote Billy Fessler to FT QB coach. That'd make for a very young offensive staff

I don't know anything about him, but a great recruiter with OC experience sounds great to me. Worked with Moorehead previously so would be a good fit if they bring him in at OC.

That would be ideal if he went to the booth during games and Hartline could remain on the sidelines.

Calling plays can be a group effort it's just about everyone being on the same page. Good shit
