I would absolutely take that bet.
Used to be when a coach left you looked at their recruiting class to see who you could cherry pick. Now you can look at the entire roster. And the departing coach gets first dibs.
Riley would have to go out of his way not to tamper with these kids.

A quick scan of Vols forums suggests they're skeptical about Heupel potentially leaving Tennessee for his alma mater. Not sure why they think Tennessee > OU.

Live in Norman, OK with a new coaching staff I know nothing about or live in Los Angeles with the coach that recruited me and I've already played for. Tough choice.

There are actually some people on their board that want him to get the HC gig there. I guess their D has been so bad for so long that they actually look at him improving their defense from deplorable to just bad as some kind of accomplishment.
