Now that I live in SoCal and have a boatload of Trojan fans as friends, this pleases me.

Trojans are re-entering the elite ranks. James Franklin remains not elite.

Yeah this is the kind of move that screams wants to be big fish in a small pond as opposed to big fish with other competitive big fish. I always thought he'd leave to the NFL if he did but this explains a lot of why he didn't

I would actually bet on him using this USC gig as a springboard to an NFL job in a few short years. Perhaps he will replace Mike McCarthy in Dallas.

One name I'm not seeing, which seems odd, is Matt Campbell. He was getting mentioned constantly last year. Has he lost some of his luster going just 7-5 this year?
