Oklahoma/Nebraska gets the dreaded "Pam Ward" treatment. 11:00am CST kickoff.

Nobody cares about the Big 12 and Nebraska is like the 8th best team in the Big West, which is quite an accomplishment since there are only 7 teams.

Having grown up in the (60s and) 70s, I thought of the Oklahoma-Nebraska rivalry as the 2nd best in the sport. I would have liked to see it at a better time. But this is 100% understandable. Frost is not recruiting at a level where he’ll replicate his UCF lightning-in-a-bottle in a P5 conference; this game has no chance of being competitive. I bet it pulls a decent number though. Nebraska fans are among the most loyal fans in all of sports and both schools have big alumni bases.

I always enjoyed watching OU/Nebraska. Especially in the '80's.

Easily my favorite Rivalry game that did not/does not involve the Buckeyes.

The Egg Bowl is an underrated Rivalry game BTW, nowhere near the same level of football but the hate is entertaining.

I still remember those early 70's OU/Nebraska games. They were brutal. There was one played in the cold and an Oklahoma kick returner nearly got beheaded on a return.

Well... we made it out here safe and sound. We’re really enjoying the OKC area (not that any of you elitist pricks care). I googled and found a Buckeye bar in the area that’ll hopefully provide a fun setting for this fall.

Oddly enough, it appears that the Gulf States and Texas are more susceptible than OKC recently.
