Oklahoma Sooners (official thread)

Grinch is the definition of unjustified hype. Got Meyer and Saban into a bidding war because he oversaw a couple of average defenses at Wazzou. Was an unmitigated disaster in Columbus, and as didn't even recruit making him a net zero. At least Tim Beck was an excellent recruiter. Got hired in Norman and somehow the hire was seen as a coup for them even after he coordinated the worst defense in modern Buckeye history. Now in year two with the Sooners and their D still sucks and he still ain't recruiting. If another major program hires him after he and OU inevitably "mutually part ways", then the guy will prove to be the best self-promoter in the sport.
Don't you Lane Kiffin dude?

I’d just like to point out that Oklahoma, although not ranked in the AP Poll this week, did receive some votes.

Not as many votes as Coastal Carolina, but they did get some votes.
Others receiving votes:

LET'S DO IT. Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher has made it clear that he wants no part of playing Ohio State on short notice, but I'm happy to report that Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley isn't a coward and enjoys fun.

Even if he would doesn't actually mean it – because he knows damn well it's not going to happen either way – I applaud him for not openly admitting that he is a gutless invertebrate like Jimbo.

But since this game isn't actually going to be played, how about we just take this fight to the recruiting trail. Whoever five-star receiver Emeka Egbuka picks today, wins. Cool? Cool.
