Ohio University to play Ohio State in 2008

Based on who's posting and what they're saying, I don't think the order of the games has much bearing. See below, or just refer to the fact that one of the Texas game threads is the longest football thread in BP history.

Good point Piney:
Most posts, this thread:
  • Ord: 29
  • Kickdown02: 25
Most posts, USC thread:
  • Taos: 9

I'm only at 11 in this thread I need to pick up the pace.

I will monitor this thread and every time the USC thread surpasses the count in this one, I will post some kind of survey which shows that a MAC school is just as good as Ohio State....that should induce multiple ORD posts.

In the immortal words of Walther Sobchak, "these are not worthy adversaries, Dude."

Then my question is why dignify it with a response? Since Ohio State is superior to all other Ohio schools so why even acknowledge them? Or do you feel the need to make sure everyone knows you are superior?

That should bring that count from 31 to 50 in no time

Because they won't shut up about it. I won't dignify their boards by going over there, but it doesn't mean that I won't respond to their ridiculous, delusional crap when it spills onto BP.

When people stop taking one peripheral, secondary program like journalism or polymer science and attempt to argue that program somehow makes a regional state college, the academic peer of a national AAU-member research university, I'll no longer need to dignify their nonsense with facts.

When their presidents stop giving ridiculous speeches about no quality differences between Ohio State and the regional state colleges--knowing full well that they or any of their faculty would crawl to Columbus on their hands and knees if ever offered an interview--I'll no longer have to dignify their bullshit with a response.

Ohio State once believed that it could play nice and cooperate with these fucks, and they were stabbed in the back at every turn and set back for a generation. The university knows full well that it can never, ever take their boot off the throats of the regional colleges again. While nobody from Bricker Hall is ever going to publicly say as much, don't for a second believe that it's not a guiding principle in how Ohio State views the other state universities or a guiding principal in the higher education restructuring that's occurring as we speak. The regional colleges (Miami of Ohio and OU foremost among them) are getting what they deserve.

There, that's 32.
