Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Seriously doubt Boyle has the room to drop to 197....Never know but his frame says he could be a small heavy who beats everyone with his feet.
Yeah from what I've seen of him he doesn't seem likely to drop to 197, so he might just commit to getting bigger and be a small heavy like we're becoming accustomed to. And really that's a nationwide trend since it's been proven that you don't have to be pushing the weight limit to be elite at the weight. Still wish there was a weight in the 225-240 range but that's not going to happen in my lifetime it seems.

Graham won yet another consecutive state title in DIII but the margin wasn't quite so wide. But for now, the streak continues.

I saw Perrysburg finally broke through and broke St. Ed's 10x streak. I know St. Ed's has some real good young talent coming up though...Bradley Bauman is a freshman and finished runner-up at 120, Whitely is a soph and finished 3rd at 126, Davies placed as a freshman at 165 which was a packed weight. Some good and growing public schools given St. Ed's a tough time post-Urbas.

Boyle is a beast! One of the more dominating paths I’ve watched. Was so far superior than anybody else. He’s going to look good in the S&G! He will have an opportunity to wrestle the “little” Feister brother next year too assuming the schools stay in the same division.

Feister bulldozed his way to the D2 285 title. It got a little weird at the end. Sounded like the crowd was booing him as soon as he won for some reason (crying about how big he is as a sophomore most likely) and he grabbed his balls and gave the peace sign. Couple things: let’s get the obvious out of the way. Grabbing your nuts to the crowd was not a good move. He’ll learn that lesson real quick. Secondly, anybody booing a barely 17 year old kid after a hard fought match where it looked like he got hurt is weak sauce regardless of how you feel about him (or his brother).

The kid dominated his way to the ship. Give credit where and when it’s due. And like I said above, all the boo birds that were in the crowd who were hoping he would lose will get to see a great match next year when Boyle bumps up a weight class.

Tough night for the Bucks. The cut for Bouzakis has caught up to him. Real bummer there. Davino and Mendez are who they are. Studs. Stiles will be lucky to place. Cannon’s gritty win earns him a rematch with Duke. Gallagher is one of a few dudes who has allowed Mesenbrink to major him instead of getting teched or pinned. Kharchla was solid. Fishback has fallen off a cliff. I’m sensing some hew going on there. Geog was up 6-2 in the consis when I turned it off. Feldman loses to the 20 seed 4-2. He looked off. I had heard though th grapevine he may have gotten injured in the big ten tournament. Davino, Mendez, Cannon, and Kharchla all moving on to the quarters. A lot of work to do tomorrow. Hopefully we see some surprises.

I always wondered what the long term health effects on wrestlers was with the cutting and adding weight so often?

In the late 90's I got hooked on bodybuilding and the bug to compete on stage one time, drug free. The second hardest thing I've ever done in my life and I swear that year and a half changed my genetic makeup permanently. These guys on the mat do it for what, decades?

Two things I learned from my experience is your life will never be the same and, I should have just done the juice!

All is not lost! Still have Cannon, Gallagher, Kharchla, and Geog in the blood rounds! Would be great to see Gallagher AA! Geog loses the first round just to battle back. He beat th kid from Oregon State to avenge a loss from earlier this season. Kharchla has a great shot to AA, and I think Cannon gets it done too.

Davino and Mendez both have shots at titles and the rubber match between Davino and Blaze is set to be a monster match!

I really think Feldman is hurt, and I think he got hurt at the Big Ten meet. He looked concerned during the Keuter match but muscled through it. I feel bad for Nic. Kid made a massive sacrifice for the good of the team. He got caught. It happens. No way was he 100% either. Stiles had trouble with weight, but got a little lazy at times too imo. Not sure about Fishback. I mentioned a case of hew might be happening. Who knows.

Regardless, our guys can still ball out tonight
